Thank you for choosing a Fountain & Flora handcrafted concrete fountain. Watch our full installation video below, then follow the step-by-step written guide for reference.
Choose a flat, stable surface that can support at least 1,500 lbs. We strongly recommend a reinforced concrete pad or compacted gravel base at least 6 inches deep. Avoid soft soil or grass without a proper base — the weight of the fountain will cause it to sink over time.
Before placing the fountain, make sure a water source and outdoor electrical outlet (for the pump) are within reach. The pump cord is typically 10–15 feet. Use a GFCI-protected outdoor outlet for safety.
Using a forklift or crane, carefully lower the 55-inch basin onto the prepared foundation. Use a level to confirm it is perfectly flat on all sides — this is critical for even water flow. Adjust the base as needed with shims or additional gravel.
Assemble the fountain tiers from bottom to top. Each tier is heavy — never attempt to lift tiers by hand. Use lifting straps and equipment rated for the weight. Align each tier carefully over the center column and lower slowly.
Place the submersible pump at the bottom of the basin. Run the tubing up through the center column of the fountain. Connect the tubing to the top tier spout. Plug the pump into your GFCI outdoor outlet.
Fill the basin with water until the pump is fully submerged (minimum 4–6 inches above the pump). Turn on the pump and check for even water flow across all tiers. Adjust the pump flow rate as needed.
